On November 30, 1939, the Soviet Union declared war on Finland because Finland refused to give the Soviet Union a naval base. Despite having superior planes, tanks, and ships, the Soviet Union actually suffered many losses. The League Of Nations, which is now the UN, actually kicked the Soviet Union out for 3 years.
