On November 11, 1918, WW1 ended. Serbia, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, the UK and US signed peace terms. This would be known as Armistice day. All across the world, people celebrated the end of the war.
On November 10,1969, the first Sesame Street episode ever aired on TV. It is now the most globally viewed children’s TV show. Its creator, Joan Ganz Cooney wanted to make a show to prepare children for kindergarten. They wanted it to be educational and entertaining at the same time.
