If you live in China, Korea, or even places like Pakistan, you might have some Mongolian DNA. The Mongol Empire expanded as far as Korea in the east, and Ukraine In the west.

FAMOUS FOR...

The Mongols were known for their violence and psychological warfare. If a city refused to surrender, they would conquer it, loot it, and burn it to the ground including its citizens. In fact, most cities and nations just surrendered because they didn't want to go through the pain. The only countries that defeated the Mongols were Vietnam, Japan, the mamluks, and possibly early Croatia.

FAMOUS RULERS...

The mongols were very much known for their leaders. #1 is the infamous Genghis Khan, who started the Mongol Empire in 1206. Genghis Khan had a rough childhood. Genghis and his 6 siblings were forced out of their tribe, leaving them to go hunting and foraging for food. Some say he even murdered his own half- brother in a fight over food. By his early 20s, he had declared himself a ruler and soldier, and created in army to conquer everything that exists. He is responsible for 20-40 million deaths, which was half of the world's population at the time.
